SCS SB 13 -- SPECIAL LICENSE PLATE

SPONSOR:  Russell (Ross)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Motor Vehicle and Traffic Regulations by a vote of 9 to 0.

This substitute exempts retired members of the United States
Armed Forces, Coast Guard or Reserve, Merchant Marine, or
National Guard from paying the additional fee for
personalization of a retired military plate.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the additional fee is
unnecessary.

Testifying for the bill were Senator Russell; and Veterans of
Foreign Wars.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
